Dustpan and brush.

Hi all, how are you doing?

Today I spontaneously decided to work on a miniature that I bought recently.

This dustpan and brush were part of a set of several items for the kitchen, and looked totally pristine when I got them. The dustpan was blue and didn't have a single dent or chip in the paint, and the brush looked factory fresh too.

 

Well, those who know my work will understand that that wasn't going to remain like that for long!

So I worked on the brush and dustpan to make them look like they had a very busy life cleaning. I hope you like the result, and I'm sure they will look great in the Centennial dolls house.

Hi All, how are you doing?

The construction activities for The Conservatory continue successfully.

On the below image you can see two finished items: an old fountain, a 'guardian angel' above the entrance, plus a metal door which is almost done.
 

In the background you can see a newly built wall, where the metal door will be placed.
 
Each item will be discussed separately in a future blog, but for now this 'sneak preview' will have to do.. :)

Adorable Teddies series: Posy!

Hi All, I hope you're doing well!

Today I'm continuing my mini-series of Adorable Teddies with a very special one: Posy!

Like Mo, she was born in The Netherlands, and moved to the beautiful island of Malta where she lives with my good friend Rebecca Micallef.

Posy is a creation of Dutch teddy bear artist Marrie van Vliet, and a very cute one too!

Two months ago she was here, and didn't waste any time to explore my Centennial dolls house. She even took up residence in its kitchen, as you can see on these photo's, and made it her own!

Little Mo: An Adorable Teddy!

Hi everybody, I hope you're doing well!

On the 5th of May, this little sweetheart arrived to my house. It was love at first sight when I saw him online, so I immediately decided to adopt him.

I also knew instantly what his name would be: Mo, just Mo, which is derived from 'mohair', which is what his fur is made of.

I totally adore this little bear, so I'm very happy that I got him! Welcome home, Mo!

Fun.

As I continue working on the conservatory, I can't help 'playing around' with it.

The joy that I get from taking photos of the structure already in place, and then working on them to create a sense of magic, is truly amazing!

Here's one showing what appears to be a spectre manifesting itself. Can you believe it; the conservatory is not even finished yet, and it has already uninvited residents...

Meanwhile, in the conservatory...

The construction of the conservatory is going pretty well. 

As a write these words, I'm working on a wall to put at its back, where the conservatory would be attached to the main building -the house- it there was one.

This wall will have, among other things, a door granting access to the conservatory. In the meantime I'm sharing another photo I too through the glass ceiling. Mind you that the floor is only temporary, as is everything else at this moment.
